In this quirky episodic tale about a friendship that’s almost something more, Joey Kern and Alexandra Holden play pals who ought to be lovers, but their timing has never been right. When Alison (Holden) makes a late-night visit to Wes (Kern) on the eve of leaving for Tokyo to rejoin her beau, the two chums travel down an emotional memory lane, discovering truths about their relationship in the process. Richard Roundtree also stars as El Doctor, Wes’ mysterious and comical guardian angel.

Novalee Nation, 17 and very pregnant, has never been part of a real home. The closest thing to family for the hard-luck teen is her selfish, would-be musician boyfriend, Willy Jack, with whom she’s traveling from Tennessee to California in a rust bucket that used to be a Plymouth. When she gives birth on the floor - and her hideaway is revealed - Novalee and her “Wal-Mart Baby” become instant celebrities. More importantly, over the next few years, Novalee finally becomes part of an unconventional, makeshift family comprised of her wonderfully eccentric new friends. Now, with the family she always wanted, Novalee is transformed from a homeless teen to a successful and strong woman. She has finally found a home in this small town where fate has dropped her.

Bob Munro is the dad of a dysfunctional family. He hires an RV to take the family on vacation. However Bob is NOT the best RV steering wheel operator in the neighborhood and the hilarity is added on by the fact that the brakes are about as useful as a chocolate fireguard. Bob first realizes it when the RV rolls (not literally) backwards into a line of shopping carts. Also Bob’s job is in danger if he doesn’t go to a very important meeting. Before you can say “COME BACK! COME BACK!,” things go gloriously, hilariously, Munro-annoyingly wrong due to the lack of brakes, Bob’s job, toilet waste not cleared out from the last rental and more hilarious stuff.

Frank Quinlan and Huey Driscoll, two reporters from a Chicago-based tabloid, along with Dorothy Winters, an ‘angel expert’, are asked to travel to rural Iowa to investigate a claim from an old woman that she shares her house with a real, live archangel named Michael. Upon arrival, they see that her claims are true - but Michael is not what they expected: he smokes, drinks beer, has a very active libido and has a rather colourful vocabulary. In fact, they would never believe it were it not for the two feathery wings protruding from his back. Michael agrees to travel to Chicago with the threesome, but what they don’t realise is that the journey they are about to undertake will change their lives forever.

A Perfect World touches you from the bottom of your heart. It is a story about a man and a boy. A man escapes from a prison with his partner who he does not like. After escaping, they kidnap a little boy. It is not a simple kidnapping story as people expect with violence and blood. This man, as he describes himself, is not a good guy, but not the worst either. The boy, living with his mom and two sisters, follows their family¡¯s religion, which forbids him from celebrating Halloween, celebrating Christmas, participating in parties, and pretty much any fun common for children of his age. The man gives the boy opportunities to play the games that he wants to, tells him what is wrong and what is right, and asks him to be independent and make his own choices.

Bill Maher’s take on the current state of world religion.

Maher goes to a Creationist Museum in Kentucky, which shows that dinosaurs and people lived at the same time 5000 years ago. He talks to truckers at a Truckers’ Chapel.
